Hector Garza Looses Battle With Lung Cancer
Lucha star Hector Garza unfortunately lost his battle with lung cancer earlier today at the age of 43. Garza had worked for the Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and Perros del Mal Producciones, along with stints in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).
Garza revealed in a press release last October that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. He would eventually retired from active competition and undergo several forms of therapy including chemo.
Several of Garza’s peers took to Twitter to honor their fallen brother.
Hector Garza was a great guy to work with. Quick with a smile and eager to share a cerveza! It was a pleasure to have known him. RIPower
